Lodging and Dining:

The contemporary lodging and farm-to-table dining at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge and their restaurant, the Yellowstone Valley Grill, makes for one of the best ‘all-inclusive’ fly fishing trips in Montana. Anglers will be treated to authentic lodging and fine dining as a part of their trip, all on the banks of the Yellowstone River.

The Cozy Cabins at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge are all perched above a sweeping bend of the Yellowstone River and offer views of the river below and the Absaroka mountains above. Each Cozy Cabin is well appointed with two queen-sized beds, wood furnishings, modern bath amenities, and a patio to enjoy the picturesque setting. These cabins are well suited for couples, angling partners, as well as families on a Montana fly fishing trip.

The Yellowstone Valley Grill is considered one of the best dining rooms in Montana, and anglers will enjoy dinner nightly overlooking the Yellowstone River after each day of fishing. With a focus on farm-to-table fare, Yellowstone Valley Grill offers a menu as diverse as its breathtaking surroundings. The menu is complemented by a sophisticated wine and craft beer list. The relaxing setting on the world-renowned Yellowstone River offers the ideal location for a perfect meal.

The Yellowstone Valley Grill is open Tuesday-Sunday. Arrangements will be made by the lodge for dining at comparable local restaurants if the Yellowstone Valley Grill is closed during your stay.

Fishing:

The Yellowstone Valley Lodge is the perfect home base for anglers looking to experience the world-class fly fishing in the greater Yellowstone area with our guides. The lodge itself sits on a productive bend on the Yellowstone River and anglers can expect to explore the mighty Yellowstone and its tributaries during their stay.

The Yellowstone River is famous for its prolific hatches and excellent dry fly fishing for wild trout throughout the year. Prime season for fly fishing on the Yellowstone River and surrounding waters is July through October. Early season fly fishing in April is also productive.

Anglers will enjoy float trips on the Yellowstone River as well as options for float trips other nearby rivers including the Boulder and Stillwater Rivers. Wade fishing on the nearby Paradise Valley Spring Creeks and in Yellowstone National Park is also an option for anglers on a daily basis. The fly fishing opportunities from the Yellowstone Valley Lodge are endless, and our Montana fly fishing guides and outfitter will work with you to make your trip truly memorable.
