Lodging and Dining:

The lodge an impressive 8000 sqft. historic inn located in the heart of the Missouri River Canyon right on the banks of the river. Canyon walls flank the building with an impressive view of Eagle Rock. This boutique lodge can accommodate up to 16 anglers in 8 rooms with both single and double occupancy options. Each room is private with comfortably appointed king and full sized beds and modern amenities including private bathrooms, TVs, and excellent Wifi connectivity. The Lodge at Eagle Rock is well suited for all sizes of groups from a couple’s getaway to corporate group events.

Dining is often one of the highlights during your stay with a gourmet 4-course meal nightly. Long time professional chef Geoffery Langell brings years of high-end culinary experience to each meal that making for a premier dining experience. The dining room is also the social center of the lodge with a comfortable atmosphere, fully staffed bar, and wonderful fireplace. Adjacent is their great room with pool tables and lounge as well as outdoor patio, perfect for spending long summer nights by the fire after an excellent day of fly fishing.

A special note should be made about the lodges’ excellent service. The long time staff is unique to lodges in Montana making for a true ‘family feel’. Exacting attention to detail during your stay is another highlight, and anglers will find this makes for a truly memorable trip.

Fishing:

The Lodge at Eagle Rock is uniquely situated right on the banks of the Missouri River tailwater. This prolific fishery is the star of the fishing program, boasting 5000+ trout per mile averaging generally 17-19” with many trophy trout exceeding 20”. The canyon section is right out the back door of the lodge which means more time will be spent fishing, the commuting to and from the river. Anglers can expect productive fishing throughout the lodge’s season from mid-April thru the end of October. While float fishing on the Missouri River is the primary attraction for anglers, we do also have float fishing options on other nearby rivers and wade fishing, depending on dates and guide availability.

The Missouri River is world-famous for its healthy numbers of large wild trout, excellent hatches, and unique character, making for some of the most exciting fly fishing in Montana. Fly fishing on the Missouri River lends itself well to beginner and seasoned anglers alike, with different challenges for anglers of all skill levels. While the dry fly fishing is the main attraction for many anglers, the Missouri River also lends itself to nymphing and streamer fishing throughout the season.
